StandUp Parenting support groups are not "anonymous" meetings, however we request attendees to adhere to confidentiality -- "What you hear here, stays here."

Programs such as Fay and Cline's Love and Logic Parenting, John Rosemond's Affirmative Parenting, James Dobson's Focus on Family, and authors' works such as Scott Sells' Parenting Your Out of Control Teen, Cloud and Townsend's Boundaries series, and many more. All have great merit in teaching constructive and useful ideas for parenting today's youth and adult children. The missing component in these resources is "aftercare," the ongoing support for applying learned techniques in the real situations parents face daily. StandUp Parenting fills this gap with weekly meetings that encourage and support the day-to-day practice of good parenting techniques regardless of where they were learned.
